Firmware check error
Received an email from Netgear to update firmware on Orbi rbr 50. Tried it and got the message “firmware check error”. The latest version I have is 2.3.1.60. Anyone having this problem? Any solution? Thanks
Pg 89 of the user manual gives information on how to do FW updates thru the RBRs web page:

Just try to remember that the RBS needs to be updated first, then update the RBR lastly.

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?Is this via the Orbi app or RBRs web page? Plese use a PC connected to the RBR and web browser to update the FW on the RBS first, then the RBR lastly.
If your system is running fine, you may want to not update as well.

Yes the system is currently running fine but since the email I received stated the latest fw is v2.3.5.30 which will enhance the product security, I thought I should update.
Any thoughts? Or just leave as is since everything is running ok?
ThanksYes users are seeing odd issues with the Orbi app. We recommend using the RBR web page for doing any FW updates.
However if your system is running fine, you'll be ok to leave it.
