Thanks for the link, however, that process is unecessarily complicated. Disabling the 2.4GHz or 5GHz channel should be as easy as going into wifi settings and checking/unchecking a box. This seems like an interface shortcoming that Netgear/Orbi should address with an update.

You can disable the WiFi SSID broadcast only. Disabling of either radio is not officially supported by any other means. This is not a bug.

Yeah, it's also possible that NG disables/disallows this ability on purpose b/c 2.4Ghz could be required for Orbi/Satellites to function properly. If you're fearless and still want to forcefully disable 2.4Ghz radio on the Orbi via telnet, go ahead and try it. If your Orbi starts showing "Config Sync" and "Waiting for connection", it's probably trying to tell you to reconsider.
