Netgear Orbi and ATT Pace 5268 Router
Using the Netgear Orbi, is using the Pace 5268 w/ DMZ+ better or using the Arris with IP Passthrough, which one would allow maximization of the 1gbps speed of the ATT fiber. The issue I am faced with...

What Firmware is currently loaded?
Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Modem FW may have broke good speeds between the modem and Orbi in router mode:

Try configuring the Orbi RBR or AP mode with the ISP modem as suggested in Option #3....

Thanks. I think I am using #2 right now with the DMZ+ with the Pace 5268. Unfortunately the Pace nor anyone of ATT routers support true bridge mode. The DMZ+ is basically a form of IP pass through that forward all traffics on all ports to the one connection to the Orbi.

Others posted about this same model modem...
Does your ISP support a stand alone modem option? This would be prefferred over the gateway modem for use with the Orbi system.

FYI for anyone who has similar problem. This fixed the slow download issue I am having between the Netgear Orbi and ATT Pace 5268. I am not getting the 800mbps that I get if connected directly to the ATT router, but I am getting 500-600mbps. Much better than what I was getting before.
