My IPTV setup was acting up intermittently, and the release notes mentioned multicast changes, so dove in. After wasting the whole day going down various rabbit holes, including so many factory resets I lost count, was left with a sad decision to pull my Uverse traffic off of the Orbi. Settings were entered both manually and via restore, made no difference. IGMP appears to be completely broken.
I can no longer recommend the Orbi product for this use case. There are a class of users that would have benefited from removing the gateway from the active configuration.
The worst part turned out a factory reset of one of the set-top boxes failed, and ended up having to research the issue and determined the device could not access the internet to pull the latest firmware either through the satellite or thorough the base router.

Wow, is there any way to roll this back off??? As stated here, my IPTV is now no longer working reliably. And, all of my named devices are randomly messed up. For example, it says one of my cell phone is on a "wired" connection. My Vonage box (wired) is wireless, etc. This is a really bad release.

I just downloaded V2.3.5.30 manually and put my RBR50 and RBS50 both back to that. All my labels are back, and I think IPTV is better. Hopefullyt hey figure it out, I'm not touching V2.3.5.30 again.

Thank you, and well done.
I can do this rollback as well, but I'm worn out and need to take a break from this stuff, and also re-evaluating the situation as trust has been lost.My IPTV had been acting spotty anyway, so unless IGMP is made to work correctly, including through the satellite, I'm just not going to touch it.

Did you at least try a factory reset on the RBR after upgrading to v38 to see if this resolved your problem? I don't have IPTV here so I can test for this. I do have DISH Hopper system and having two Joeys connected via ethernet to the Hopper is working here for me. Though I think DISH protocols differ from IPTV protocols.

No. I didn't have a backup from before the upgrade, and didn't know if one at that point would work. And, the problem with IPTV is uncertain if it was caused by the router, but the all the devices names all on the wrong devices defininately was. I shouldn't have to solve this problem for Netgear, so I went back to previous version.
