Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
Welp, anyone have any notes on this thing? It's already downloaded to my router and satellite waiting for me to pull the pin.
- May 03, 2019
Hi,
Just for information, when you're in the Firmware Update page and it downloads new firmware to install, the version number next to both the router and the satellite is a clickable link.
If you click the link, it will show you the release notes of all changes between your currently installed firmware and the update.
Although, this "feature" is not hidden, it's not always obvious that it's there either.

on rbk50 - in AP mode
For me 2.3.1.60 is still as unstable as the previous few flurries of updates.
I'm really bored of this now.
.210 is still the only one that has really worked well for me.
Wed night I (again) factory reset, with pin hole and setup from scratch. Only things I change are
AP mode
2.4ghz - ch 6
5ghz - ch 44
enter log file email details.
However i still get lots of disconnections, and the wifi range is still not that great, certainly not as great as .210
After factory reset, when i try to connect to my rbk50 via the android orbi app i just see it as disconnected. This is a new issue.
I have read others get wlan access rejected issues, which I also see... alot..
here is my latest log..

thombe, do you know if that MAC address belongs to your Satellite? If yes, then you'll need to generate a new backhaul password to avoid WiFi instability. Also, please disable UPnP as it's a security risk. Since your Orbi is in AP mode, there shouldn't be any NAT rule either. If everything is working properly, there shouldn't be anything in your log when your Orbi is in AP mode, except for local admin login/NTP time sync info.

Hi, no it's not, both those rejected mac addresses are both Nokia android phones.
in addition the .188 up address that is upnping is one of those androids, so not sure what is causing that, but will look further, as i don't want any upnp on my setup.
Can I ask, about NG no longer forcing updates, is this from this firmware onwards, or is this from the server push. i.e. if i choose to run a specific earlier firmware will it remain on that firmware, e.g. .210. ??
i shall also be taking a look at netspot later.

I believe it came in on v32 or v44. Not sure if you downgraded to v210 if it would auto update or not.
