Orbi MR 2.1 Update 3/23/18
Our teams are still working through the issues, but I wanted to provide a quick update on OrbiOS 2.1. We usually wait to release our software until it's available across all Orbi product lines, but ...

This is driving me nuts. After spending many hours trying to find out why several of my home automation products(lifx lights, ring camera) suddenly stopped working...that is, stop connecting to the internet and after trying to reconnect them many times, without success, I have finally realized that this router updated itself(without my knowledge) to this new update. They were all connecting just fine for many months and now, realizing this update went in around the time they stopped connecting, I suspect this update as something to do with it. Has anyone else had this problem? I have v2.1.4.10. Can I reload the previous version? How can I do that? I used to have a full head of hair. Now...not so much!

Hello,
Last week my Orbi system (RBK53 = RBR50 + 2x RBS50) after working without any major issue on v2.1.3.4 for a few weeks started to drop connections or Internet access. I was not sure what was happening, I rebooted the system many times and without any improvement. Then I realized that the Orbi was auto-updated to v2.1.4.10.
What it worked for me, and has been a week now, was to run off all the Orbis (not reboot, not factory reset, just turn them off) and turn them back on one by one, I waited until the RBR50 was up and connected to Internet, then the first RBS50, again I waited until it showed connected to the RBR50 and then the last RBS50.
All my devices (~50 that include switches, lights, cameras, and other automation stuff) has worked fine for a week now.
I hope this helps.

Purchased the RBIK50 w/Sat. On installation Orbi updated firmware. Otherwise ok. Starteeg getting the dropouts over the next few days. Checked firmware ver on both Main and Sat. Interface said both had the latest firmware but the St also said "wait for a minute" or somthing similar in the interface. Checked multiple times wiith the same outcome. Key (I think) ... I also could not login to the Sat, only the Main unit. I did a factory reset of the Sat and reconnected it to the Main. Thus far, no dropouts and I can login to the Sat. Good luck.

Got my new replacement rbk53 yesterday, using last firmware now,i had rbk53 before but had to send back due to one defective satelite, now im trying again latest firmware,I have open purchases for 2 months,so far its workig great, have lots of device, nest protect systems, ipads laptops, many ip camera, iphones, nvr using ip camera, my kids is gamers.
So far its verry good at my place, using one router and 2 satelittes.
I have tried some other mesh/aimesh systems, asus, velop, lyra,so far i like orbi best.
I will try 2months now and se how it goes,if i have some problems in the future, after 2months i dont have any problem sending it back to my store.workig great 2 days:)
Using all my devices the orbi is the best for me i think.
