Orbi RBK 753 backhaul setup issue

Hi guys, I got my RBK 753 last weekend and setup running now, some how the web UI always shows that my Satellite unit is under wireless connection, I have my Ethernet port at each room wired through a switch like below sketch, then pluged in the cable to all RBS units, did I miss anything? I checked my port with my old router, all functioning with internet signal and the firmware seems to be up to date on my RBR and RBSs.

Interestingly to find out that under the Show Statistics window, I do see WLAN Backhaul with Tx and Rx data, does that mean the Backhaul is working?

Re: Orbi RBK 753 backhaul setup issue

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Yes, the WiFi backhaul is working.

Orbi systems are designed to look for an ethernet backhaul on the router LAN ports, not on the WAN port.

The way to get ethernet backhaul working on this system is to connect the ISP feed directly to the router WAN port (not through the switch) and then connect one of the router LAN ports to the switch.  If there is only one ethernet cable connecting the switch location and the router location, this is a challenge.

One user found a creative solution using a switch with VLAN capability:
