I just set up my Orbi network a week ago. Everything was fine until two days ago it starts telling me the internet is not detected. I’ve tried rebooting and resetting up the Orbi. Now i go through set up to the point of almost being done and it tells me set up cannot complete because the cable cannot be detected and that no cord is detected running from the modem to the Orbi router. I know other ports on the router are working because we have other devices directly connected to it. Is my Orbi just trashed?
My first step would be to replace the ethernet cable going from the WAN (yellow) port on the Orbi to the modem.
Second step would be to connect a laptop (or desktop) directly to the modem, power off the modem, and restart it.
If the computer works when connected directly to the modem, and you have switched the cable without success, I would call Netgear support. New systems get 90 days free support.

Does this mean that you have an RBR20 router running off another router? Is that the modem you refer to? That could explain what you see.
It might help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router.
A lot of Orbi users put their Orbit router into wireless access point mode.
