Orbi RBR50 router randomly disconnects/blocks internet for the whole network.
Multiple versions of the firmware, now latest: 2.3.5.30, at least also 2.3.1.60. Probably also 2.3.1.48 and 2.3.1.44 (don't remember exactly, as I blamed the isp in the start). Also notice that I'm ...

I have been having this same issue, and I am not using either Circle or Armor anymore. I lose both wired and wifi connections about every hour or so, sometime more.......sometimes less. No idea what is causing this......makes no sense. But it does sound like an internal issue with the routing, since it affect both types of connections....

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Ha.......appreciate the inquiry. But have seen all of this before. I can summarize. I have tried about 4 or 5 different firmwares, moving back and forth.......on router and stellite. Factory resets before and after each re-load. I have used debug config to disable upgrade, and collect logs. I have tried every iteration of every setting there is on every menu, and nothing has worked. without fail, I drop internet on all connections (wired and wifi) several times a day, and it lasts anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple minutes. It's very strange.
I collected those timestamps and contacted my ISP provide (Spectrum Cable), and asked them to view my cable modem status and logging. They ssaid there were no interuptions to my signal and no ISP issues during these times of disconnect. I can confirm also that I connected directly to modem with a laptop for a couple hours and did not experience and discos either.
As of last night, I did a final factory reset, and allowed Orbi to just use the default SSID and password, and I left a work VPN connected all night.......as of this morning I see no reconnect messages for last 8 hours.
If this ends up being the resolution.....I am truly mystified. A $200 wifi setup that can't handle a name/password change? Ridiculous.
I can live with this being the resolution, but I can't believe all the time and effort wasted on config and firmware upgrades, that this is still an issue with the system.
I would have to think that there is some internal setting that tries to reset itself or reference the factory default wifi setting, and that causes a hiccup every so often? If so, come on Netgear, this should be fixable.........

oh, and to answer the specific questions.....this is a 3200 sq ft home.......and cable modem and orbi are about 5 feet apart (new CAT cable). Orbi satellite is about 50 feet from router through 2 walls. Not sure why router and sat distance would affect the wired connections though, since the wired connections dont use the wifi, only the internal ORBI switch.

So that happens if you change the SSID and PW after now you have used the default SSID.
There have been odd issues seen after FW updates. Some users have good experiences after FW updates and don't have problems, while others do. A factory reset is last resort for these after troubleshooting has been exhausted. Seems to be the case for you since you reset and setup from scratch, this has resolve your problem. Seems to point to a mis-configuration or somehing got in a bad state after a FW update or the configuration change is all. I prefer to manually install my FW and always factory reset and setup from scratch or load a backup configuration from file. This saves time.
Try changing the SSID name and PW, save and apply then reboot both RBR and RBS. Check to see if the problem appears again.

I think there is some confusion.......I have never ever tried to use the ORBI with the default SSID and password, because that seems like a ridiculous requirement. I have always setup my router with the SSID/password I had used in the past.
Over the last few months, I have tried all iterations of factory reset with various firmwares, and various settings. I have done reboots and resets and followed all the published guidance. I consistently have had disconnect issues with all flavors, despite all these recommended changes, reboots, resets, and upgrades.
Last night was the first time I did a completely clean factory reset on firmware 2.3.5.30 and just let ORBI use all its own default settings.
So far, for about 10 hours, it has been stable......with no disconnects. We shall see.
I am not wanting to change the SSID/password until I see that this actualy seems to be working 100%, and then I will switch after a few days and see if the bad behaviour comes back.

There is no requirement to use default SSID on the Orbi. User can always use a custom SSID name and PW. I know your just troubleshooting. This is fine.
Of course, make sure the system works and once your satsified, then make the change.
This is something I haven't seen and again, seems to be a odd case which a reset and setup from scratch seems to have cleared it. Let us know when you change the SSID back to what you want, if the problem appears again. I hope your system will be ok since the reset. Should be. - drtrotter74Nov 14, 2019Tutor
I am NOT confident. I have done about 10 factory resets so far in the last few weeks. All of them have resulted in continued disconnects of both wired and wifi connections.
This is the first time that I have just used the default SSID, and this is the first time I have had stability for 10 hours+. So, that seems like more than coincidence so far.
I know that ORBI is not expecting that using default SSID is a requirement, but I have read where others have seen issues with his. I know of a local IT tech who advised this same idea, based on his experience. I dismissed it, as it seems like a ridiculous scenario to have to use the default provided SSID and password.
I hope I am wrong, but so far this is the longest I have not had drops with my internet using this ORBI system.

Ya, you don't have to use default SSID names. You can however you don't have too. Users choice.
Possible other surrounding factors that could be contributing to your bad experiences as well.
