Orbi Rjouter RBR50. Orbi will not connect to internet

I have the Orbi.  I set it up where I connected it via ethernet port to m  Frontier Communications modem.  When I try to connect the Orbi, it disconnects the modem. Is anyone able to help me?

    Have you made sure that your Frontier modem is set to modem only if it has a built in router?
