Orbi Setup-Using my old wifi network name
I'm going to set up my new Orbi system soon.
How do I use my current/old wifi network name so all of my devices(Nest/Sonos/laptops/phones) continue to connect?
Or do I have to start over and rename to Orbi network to a new network name?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Orbi Setup-Using my old wifi network name
I used my previous network SSID and password (for my Asus router), and it worked perfectly fine - all devices connected back on A-OK after finalizing the Orbi setup.
Cheers, Chris

Re: Orbi Setup-Using my old wifi network name
Thanks Chris!
So I assume I will need to keep my Airport Extreme plugged into power so it continues to broadcast ms SSID?
Also, I have two bands, 2.4 and 5ghz. Orbi will naturally select the highest band correct?
Appreciate your response.

Re: Orbi Setup-Using my old wifi network name
If you are bridging your Orbi to your existing router, I don't have any experience with how that works, sorry.
I myself totally replaced my old Asus router with the Orbi (no bridging or AP setup) - I just used the same SSID and password when I set up the Orbi.
