Orbi Tri-RBK50 – supporting 600MB
Sorry for the newbie question.
I have a NETGEAR Orbi Tri-band Whole Home Mesh WiFi System with 3Gbps Speed (RBK50). My ISP is telling me if I want to take advantage of their 600MB speed offer I need to ditch the Orbi which I had hoped to use in bridge mode. Toss it.
Before I order the high speed modem I would be interested in your thoughts on this?

Re: Orbi Tri-RBK50 – supporting 600MB
There are several active threads about how well Orbi supports gigabit speed. Mine certainly does 250mb with no trouble.
Technically, Orbi does not have a "bridge" mode. Is the ISP suggesting a "modem only", or a combination "modem/WiFi/router"?

Re: Orbi Tri-RBK50 – supporting 600MB
Thanks for the note!
I would place the ISP modem in bridge modem and Susie my ORBI to provide wi-if.
Thanks

I think they are blowing smoke up your skirt. i.e. perhaps mean well, but are not informed.
