Orbi ac3000 set up with a gigabit switch using SkyQ service
Some help please - in non techincal language would help, as I am a novice with this stuff.
I have been trying to set up the Orbi and have hit a issue, I don’t know the answer to.
We have a sky router with two We have a sky WiFi network in the Ethernet outputs, one dedicated to the house alarm, the other for everything else. So as a consequence have a proSAFE gigabit switch, for all the rest. The current sky WiFi is used for home working and we do not want to loose that.
So I plugged the orbi into the gigabit switch and started the set up. I have got as far as the netgear page saying existing router or gateway detected and the orbit will be set in router mode. Can someone please explain if I will get the orbi WiFi mesh or just another 3 expensive routers and still no proper coverage.
Thank you
