Orbi and Arris TG862 Cable Modem?
Would like to purchase the RBK50 for my home, but want to know what to expect for installation. I use an Arris TG862 cable modem for wireless access and telephone (VOIP) from my provider. Is installation as simple as turning off the wireless feature of my router and plugging the Orbi into the ethernet jack? Will I need to involve my ISP at all? I saw a thread here that said I could put the Orbi into AP mode without any performance penalty. Is that true and is that the best way to go for my situation? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Orbi and Arris TG862 Cable Modem?
Hello AlaninVA
AP mode may be the best solution for you setup since you use the modem for VOIP you would just need to connect it to the modem via ethernet and do the basic setup.
