Orbi crashes multiple times per day
ci
I've had this Orbi system for a few months. Performance is great when it works... but the router crashes multiple times a day while the family is watching streaming TV. Very unsatisfying for a high-priced product like this. I am ready to switch to the Eero but thought I would ask for help first...
also, every time I use the micorwave the satellite in the kitchen disconnects. maybe it's my imagination but that seems to be a precursor for overall system failure
Background:
42 deivces
updated firmware
factory reset multiple times, as recently as yesterday
2x satellites
Windows 10
Aris surfboard 6183 model
circle not activated
security not activated
I saw some logs at some point that shows the crashes seem to come after "attacks". I can't find the same logs now

What Firmware is currently loaded?
Is Disable Port Scan and DoS protection and Respong to Ping on Internet port enabled on the RBR? Unser Advanced Tab, Setup/Wan Setup
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?- LenPAspirant
wow, thanks for the response!
Firmware 2.5.1.8
Both Disable Port Scan and DoS protection and Respong to Ping on Internet port are disabled
Distance is probably 20 feet but there is a floor and a wall in between. Signal and backhaul shows "Good"
Lets move the RBS farther away. 20 feet is still a bit too close. I've had my RBS out at 40 feet with two walls and a roof in between. Still get good signal.
What happens if you enable Port Scan and DoS protection on the RBR?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? What other WiFi devices do you have connected to the system. Any devices that broadcast there own wifi signal by chance?
