A quick update. We're about to release an updated version of OrbiOS 2.1.4 in the next few days through our auto-update mechanism for all Orbi models. When it goes live, you should see a prompt in t...

That last 2 updates you pushed, knockled out my router. (the last and this one)
both times I am traveling a week for work. This knocks out our alarm system and home automation.
This is not acceptable. i have had the Orbi for only 4 monts and i cant return it.
Please how can i return for a full refund for the the Router and 2 satelites?

Same issue(s) and tested the Google Wifi and will not be going back to Orbi. The systems CRUSHES the orbi when it comes o stability and is also comparable when it comes to speed.

I have had 0 issues with my Orbi system, so tell me how the Google wifi can possible crush it? Orbi has better speeds and more network connections at the satellite and wired backhaul. For YOU, perhaps, it works better. It is not a better system. I bet if I spent 10 minutes reading on a google wifi, eero, or velop forum I can find just as many unsatisfied customers.

I've actually been on Eeero's support boards to make sure I'm not jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Like any product, there are people there with problems, but no, there aren't multiple 150+ post threads there calling for the Product Manager's head. In fact, the largest thread I found was this one, and it's mostly people crapping on their old Orbis.
Selection bias is a thing. Product satisfaction is relative, and Netgear's past performance with respect to firmware is relatively worse. In my experience, much worse.
- RJDMay 01, 2018StarWe’ll only had my Google Wifi (3 pack) up for 4 days but so far not a single drop, no f’ing about with reset this reset that, unplug this unplug that. Netgear Orbi mesh i’m Afraid to say after 16 months of messing about with it just sucks. Happy for those small percentage that have no issues and hope many non technical users are having success as it would be aweful for them but so far Google Wifi for me is awesome.
- RavenFan80May 01, 2018GuideI have the GOOGLE WIFI and have ZERO issues since I’ve purchased 30 Days ago. Gave the Orbi 8 months of chances but the issues were just SURREAL considering this supposed to be NetGears premiere product.

On this firmware still the same disconnect issues. This is insane. Andorid mobile devices are almost unusable. Every few minutes disconnect issues. Incompetent developers at NETGEAR. Why bundling Orbi with tons of feuture if the basics are not working?? Better to spned 600 euros on whores than this **bleep**. I checked forums of other products and no other product has so much issues. Its insane for this price to have so much trouble.

Anyone have any ideas of what I can try to do to fix my Rainmachine? It's the only device that drops its connection after a few days. The only thing to get it back to normal is to disconnect it and reconnect it to the router. I don't think even a reboot of the rainmachine works.
Never had this issue with my old Asus router.

What channels are you using on the router? try manual channel 1, 6 or 11.
Any other wifi neighbors near by? How many?
Try setting WPA and TPIK only and test.
Try disabling MIMO, Daisy Chain and Fast Roaming.
What is the distance between this rain machine device and the router or satellite? Feet?

A problem im noticing after the 2.1.4 update is if something causes the power to go out to the orbi router, then the satelites have an issue reconnecting on there own without a manual reboot. This wasn't the case in earlier versions. I also tried changing the channels, disabling/reenabling fast roaming, MU-MIMO, Beamforming to no effect on the problem. Thing is other than that the system is working pretty stable. So far no devices have just dropped off my network or lost connectivity. Looking through these forums that doesn't seem like the norm. Lets hope it remains that way *crossing my fingers* lol
