RBR20 does not show all attached devices

Hi, I've had this setup (on base and 2 satellites) working well for over a year now.  Satellites are connected to the base via ethernet and firmware is up to date (V2.7.3.22) on all three units.  However, both the app and the web portal are not showing all the connected devices.  I have at least three devices that are set to static IP, but only one is showing up.  The other two are working fine though.  Now I'm not sure if there are other devices (DHCP) that are also missing.  Yesterday it was showing me that 41 devices were connected, today it is showing only 34.

Re: RBR20 does not show all attached devices

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AC products. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.

Re: RBR20 does not show all attached devices

Are you sure you have all devices online at the same time before checking for attached devices?

For static IP addressed devices, this is a IP address set ON the devices itself, that this IP address should be out side of the RBR default DCHP IP address pool, not with in it. For IP address Reservations, this in set ON the RBR router and with in the RBRs default DHCP IP address pool, not out side of the pool.

What is the default IP address pool range currently set for on the RBR?

Are these IP's set (a) on the actual device, or (b) as an entry in the Orbi LAN Setup Address Reservation table?

Re: RBR20 does not show all attached devices

They are set on the device, outside the DHCP address pool on the Orbi.  BTW, the Fing app finds all the devices correctly.

Yes, all devices are ON, and the static IPs are set on the device, outside the RBR's address pool.  No conflicts with DHCP.

Re: RBR20 does not show all attached devices

Wow, we are sort of "batting zero" (and asking the same thing over and over - sorry.)

How about some truly bizzare questions:

  • What are these three devices?
  • These devices are wired or WiFi?
  • Is there any chance that any of these devices do not regularly send packets through the Orbi router?
i.e. maybe a television and a media server both connected to a switch.
(Since the Orbi does not show them, there is no point in asking where the Orbi thinks they are connected - duh)
