RBR50 orbi app firmware update option listed

I have Orbi RBR50. I am trying to update the firmware version in the iOS app since it says I'm running Firmware Version V1.1.0.16. However, when i scroll down it does have a button to "search for updates." How do I update the firmware through the iOS app?

Don't. 

Since you are on old v1 FW, you'll need to get the RBS and RBR updated to v2 first using a wired PC and web browser. IE11, Edge or Firefox. 

First download v2.0.0.74, and v212 for the RBS and RBR.

You can either install either one of these as your last FW update:

Download these to have handy on your wired PC. 

Be sure to unpack the .zip files.

Connect the wired PC to the RBR. While connected to the RBR, find the IP address that the RBS is using. Use this IP address to log into the RBS web page. You can manually update the RBS first by applying v74. I believe after v74 is applied to the RBS, you can go directly to the most latest version of FW. v4 or v70. 

Now update the RBR with v74. After v74 is applied, you'll need to apply v212. After v212 is applied, you can then apply either latest version of FW, v4 or v70 to the RBR. 

After getting both RBS and RBR updated fully, factory reset and setup from scratch.
