As I've found out elsewhere in this board, RBS50y units will not mesh with each other, only with indoor routers and satellites. In order to extend my home network outside sufficiently (I live on a farm), I'd like to find a way to get exterior units to mesh. I can bring out a normal satellite (RBS50), but then I have to find a way to protect it from the elements. Unfortunately my experience has been that Amazon sellers are often "creative" in how they label electrical boxes weatherproof. Does anyone on here have a recommendation for an adequately rain-tight box that can accommodate a RBS50? Thanks all.

I ended up going with the QILIPSU UL94-V0 Outdoor Electrical Box from Amazon. First it comes in a size (11.4"x7.5"x5.5") that can accommodate the RBS50 without being huge --- as far as electrical boxes go, the satellites have an unusual size, and it's hard to match their dimensions.
Even more important to me is the level of protection they may afford. In placing an piece of indoor electrical equipment outdoors, I have to worry about protecting it from dust and rain.These boxes say they have an IP67 enclosure rating, which is nice (assuming they're being honest), but what led me to try this line of boxes was the fact that there are several user reviews on Amazon that comment specifically on how hard they are to open when you first get them. That was my experience as well, and it turns out that that initial difficulty opening them arises from their being vacuum sealed. In my thinking, if this item can maintain that vacuum seal from manufacture through purchase, if it can show itself to be airtight, I don't have to worry as much about whether it's watertight. I've had the box outside for only a week or so, and it hasn't rained in that interval, so only time will tell if they provide adequate protection here.
I'm less concerned about protection from temperatures, which is good, because electrical boxes generally don't provide that. The RBS50 has a recommended operating temperature of 32º to 104ºF (0° to 40°C), and I live in North Carolina. It's not likely we'll get much above 104º in any given summer, and while in winter we do go below 32º at times (occasionally down to the teens, rarely down to single digits), I hope that the electronics within the unit are able to withstand periods of below-freezing temperature. Again, time will tell.
The box is made of PC/ABS alloy plastic, and I am hoping here too that it can withstand years of being outdoors without cracking or deteriorating. Honestly, though, it does feel kind of flimsy. (When trying to break the vacuum seal when I first got it, I had real fears that my efforts to pry it open would crack it; fortunately they didn't.) Fingers crossed here too for how well the box and satellite within endure.

Could you please describe the security camera WiFi specifications?
Since this will not be a mobile device, there is no particular need to have seamless roaming between that location and the main building.
Might be worth reading the user comments on the EnGenius Technologies ENH1350EXT on Amazon. Users report success at 500 and 600 ft. 2.4G WiFi carries farther than 5G and many cameras are designed with 2.4G capability only.
