Replace RBR20 With RBR50
I currently have an RBR20, 2 RBS20’s and 1 RBS50Y. I want to replace my RBR20 with a RBR50. What’s the easiest way to swap it out? Thanks
- Make a record of the existing configuration.
(I took a screen shot of every page and saved them to a Word document.) - Replace the RBR20 with the RBR50.
- Connect to the RBR50 (I prefer to use a computer wired directly to an Ethernet port)
- Open the RBR50 web administration.
- Go through the setup process. (Notice that tiny comment toward the bottom of the first screen, "I do not have a smartphone" to avoid getting sucked into the Orbi app.)
- Proceed to enter the same configuration information as on the RBR20.
- Use the menu item Add Orbi Satellite (on the main menu) to add each satellite.
- Make a record of the existing configuration.
