Samsung S22 Ultra phone connects to router internet but not orbi mesh system
Recently my S22 Ultra galaxy phone has started to drop out of internet constantly. Didn't always do this but I'm wondering if an update of some sort has affected it. I can connect directly from the router to my phone with no problem but if I try connect to the orbi mesh system that the rest of my devices are connected to it says "connected without internet". I've tried restarting everything, I've tried resetting my networks, I've even tried changing the IP settings... nothing helps! Any ideas??

I am used to the concept that WiFi devices connect to WiFi access points, not the other way.
If by some weird chance the Orbi router has Access Control enabled and has blocked this specific MAC address, then the result will be that the device connects to the WiFi network, but has no access to the internet. (i.e. the definition of "Blocked".)
Can you open the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Security menu, and verify:
- Whether Access Control is enabled or disabled?
- If the MAC address of the Samsung phone appears in one of the tables?
- CaiktinAspirantI'm sorry I'm not very tech savvy so just trying to wrap my head around all the jargon. It's funny that you mention Mac address though because I was fiddling with my settings to see if anything would help and it did make a difference when I swapped from randomised MAC to phone MAC which seemed to fix the problem. Question is, is it safe for me to keep it this way or could it potentially cause other issues for me? Is there a better solution like perhaps swapping it back and rather chasing the access control through orbi instead?
When you at HOME, yes, it's safe as the device is only connecting to your HOME router system. I keep mine disabled at home.
Enable the randomizer when your traveling away from home. It's when your traveling or using some coffee shop, airport or retailers Wi-Fi that maybe not secure, that you would want the randomizer enabled on your mobile devices here.
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Enjoy. 📡
What Orbi model do you have?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. If your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Try option #2 first...Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on mobile devices:
