Sky + HD box crashes Orbi RBR40

My Orbi RBR40 crashes / reboots everytime I try to download a tv program to my Sky + HD box. It doesn’t matter if the Sky box is connected via cable or wireless the Orbi still reboots. My Orbi is running firmware 2.2.1.210. Please help.

Have you tried to upgrade the firmware to the released 2.3.0.28?

Is that Sky thing also a router?

After the update, if you didn't, reset the router to factory defaults and then reset it back up.

No it’s just a Sky Tv box.

Internet router connected to Netgear Orbi is standard router supplied by plusnet. Manufacturer is Sagemcom, couldn’t find a model number.

Re: Sky + HD box crashes Orbi RBR40

Need to check to see if the ISP Modem has a built in router. That why we ask for the model#. If it does have a built in router already...

Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

I would try option#2 if you have access the modems web page. If not, then try option #3.
