Struggling to Port Foward on Orbi RBS50

I am trying to set up a minecraft server with the port 25565 but I just can't seem to get it working. So far I have tried disabling UPnP, Making my network a private network and disabling my firewall. canyouseeme.org can not see me. What am I doing wrong, please help!

  • Are you sure that your ISP modem is set to Bridged mode - if it's still acting as a router you need to either change it to bridged so that your Orbi is the router, or make the Orbi an AP and apply the port forwarding on the ISP router.

  • Has this worked before? It's possible your ISP is blocking your port.

    You could try this.

    1) Reset Orbi to standard settings.

    2) Enable remote access on Orbi using the standard port, which should be 8080.

    3) Establish that you can login remotely to Orbi. If 8080 doesnt work, try 80.

    4) Once you have remote access working, switch remote access to use your custom port, 25565.

    5) See if you can still remotely access Orbi using port 25565.  If you can, then it's not blocked by your ISP.  If you cannot, then your ISP is blocking it.

After changing my modem into bridging mode had a bit of panic as speed slowed down a lot but after a reset speed is back up and port fowarding is working. Thanks so much
