Trying to use RBR 50 instead of Verizon Router -Orbi RBR50 with 3 satellites
I currently have my Orbi setup in A/P mode and am using with my Verizon FIOS gateway router. I also have a subscription with Netgear Armor for Bitdefender. The system works fine in A/P mode, but I lo...

Thank you so much for your quick response. I will admit I do not totally understand everything you have said however, I agree Option 2 is where I am trying to get to. When you say "disable ALL Wi-Fi radios on the modem" do you mean on the Verizon Quantum Gateway? If so, I already completed that step when I set up my system initially following these instructions you refer to...https://kb.netgear.com/31100/How-do-I-set-up-my-Orbi-system-to-work-with-Fios.
YES.
Not sure how to do this step in your instructions..."configure the modems DMZ/Exposed Host or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem". Is what you are referring to in this link...https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Trying-to-use-RBK50-instead-of-FIOS-router/m-p/1885585/highlig...?
I assume you mean...
No, on the Verizon modem there should be DMZ or IP Pass thru function. Check your ISP support pages or contact the ISP on the phone on how to configure this option for the Orbi router.

Problem was solved. I had to put the old Verizon router back online and release the IP from the Fios routes admin console. Once that happened the Orbi could see the Internet.
One other thing that happened was the DNS IP's needed to be changed (auto populated by Verizon), as they also interfeared with the connection to the Internet. I just went with 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, which worked fine.

Is the above what you are saying to do??? Do I get to the DSP's by going into the orbilogin.net and changing my Orbi DSP's there along with changing my Orbi from A/P mode back to router mode? IF this user did this with his Orbi system connected to the Verizon router, then yes, you'll need to log in to the RBR and configure these specific DNS addresses while the RBR is in router mode.
