When the Orbi is in router mode and devices have been assigned IP addresses by entering their MAC address into the LAN Setup Table (Advanced Tab, Setup, LAN Setup menu) every device should get the same IP address every time.

@CrimpOn wrote:What a puzzle! I collect the logs from my (original) Orbi and there are no log entries that start with Jan 01, or contain -5:00.
This is yet another example of the frustration customers face when their Netgear product behaves strangely and there is no documentation or customer service contact to explain it.
Another datapoint - My RBR850 running the Beta firmware V3.2.18.223 (to fix the DNS bug) does include these mysterious Jan 01 log entries. I collect all the Netgear logs in my gmail and see that these Jan 01 log entries have appeared for a long time, e.g., a log from Feb 5 also includes them.

Please report any data point findings in the v223 beta forum thread so NG is aware of what your finding.
Thank you.

For ages my Logs have start with similar lines of text. Not sure, but I'll have to check if the sequence is the same.
