The basic installation went smoothly, can change a lot of settings.
However I was shocked that mac authentication, a basic option I had in all my previous routers isn't there.
Only the allow and deny option.
Second big shock was the fact that Smart Parant Control is not availabale in the Netherlands, by default it is not on the spec sheet when you check the website, but you find this out during installation.
Ok, then I will block website with key words.... Avanced - security - keyword blocking on always added pornhub for a test.
But it is still available on all connected devices. To learn more, check out www.netgear.com/lpc ending up at parent control website which is not available.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Smart Parental Controls product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with SPC and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "OrbiAX " forum.
