RBK752- AX4200 Internet Dropping

Hi There,

I purchased this device 2days ago and have had constant issues since purchase. I phoned NG support yesterday and spoke to an 'orbi specialist' whom changed a few things will list below my current set up as per NG Support advisal.

The support advisor also explained that it maybe a hardware issue if the internet continues to drop - which seems like a cop out as opposed to NG actually knowing what the constant issue with there hardware is.

I previously had ORBI Rbr20 and it worked perfectly fine, the upgrade is due to the lack of coverage rbr20 offerred and not being able to purchase the satellites in NZ anymore.

To install the RBK752 i had to factory reset the hardware itself along with the satellite.

Since establishing connection it fails to stay connected for longer than 24hrs.

Current orbi settings are as follows:

2.4ghz -6

5ghz - 44

DNS Server - Google - 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4

And I have just updated the CTS to 2347

I have a Huawei Modem.

model: HG630b

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

Do the front LED turn on PINK when this happens?

Does wireless and wired connections fail?

What mode is your modem working in? Router or Bridge mode?

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
