ReadyNAS NV
New to the forum:
I have a ReadyNAS NV (no "+") and I am not sure which version of the RAIDiator firmware I need to be using. I am trying to use a new 3TB USB backup drive with my NV and read in other posts that I may need to update the firmware. My NV currently has RAIDiator 4.1.7 [1.00a043] installed. Needless to say, I cannot use the new drive for backup. It fails and also fails when I try to reformat the drive in the Volumes window in Frontview, although it does show up as USB_HDD_2.
I am not sure which firmware to use as my NV is not listed specifically under "supported devices" in these related posts.
I'm hoping someone can get me on the right path, thanks.

Re: ReadyNAS NV
The Infrant ReadyNAS NV is a Sparc ReadyNAS. These do not have GPT support for internal or external drives and thus do not support drives larger than 2TB in capacity. Due to the ceasing quite a while ago of 3rd party kernel development for the Sparc platform it's highly unlikely this situation will change.

Re: ReadyNAS NV
OK, got it. Looks like I need a new backup solution that is more up to date. I'll go get a 2GB drive in the meantime. Thanks for the help!
