Can't download "public" files from ReadyCloud
Since 6.5.1 update, when my clients try to download files in my shared folders (via URL created by "Create Web Link" button), it will only upload somes bytes then says that the download is complete...
All files downloaded are < 1KB...
I did rollback to 6.5.0, now it works.
So how to get it working with 6.5.1 ??
6.6.0 Also solved my issue.
Thanks.

I was able to get this working again. After migrating my account to mynetgear I was having the same problem. I could not use my remote desktop app to access my ReadyNAS drive.
I had to uninstall ReadyCLOUD from the program manager. Then went to the readcloud.netgear.com web portal. Signed in with email and password. My ReadyNAS loaded, then on the bottom left, clicked on "Get the ReadyCloud App".
Everything working fine now. I did have one hickup. When I clicked on the the ReadyCloud icon in the system tray nothing happend. Then it disapeared but came back shortly. I think Windows 10 was refreashing or resetting the system tray. I should have rebooted after unistalling. But working fine now.

This is not related to my issue... I don't have the ReadyCloud app on my PC...

Hi mrvincent,
I suppose you've done this via ReadyCLOUD web portal. In some cases, using other web browser/s or browser mode would help.
Kind regards,

No, in my case is also if I browse the NAS from Readycloud and I try to download something directly from there.

It's definitely something with the way how ReadyCloud talks with NAS.
Or rather how it points your NAS to your browser while trying to download files from remomte network.
I agree that this is not NAS itself, as I am able to download files while in same network as NAS.
Is anyone from Netgear reading our posts?

I've tried to download file from created web link using elinks (cli browser with JavaScript suppor).
It tries to download the file but there is an error that there is something missing:

Hi there - same issue for me. When downloading a file through ReadyCloud on Safari browser, it only downloads about 200-300kb. The file looks OK (in terms of icon etc), but will not open. We too have 'upgraded' to the latest ReadyNAS update. This is going to cause me huge problems, as I'm away from the office, and need to access files! Do we have any solutions on this? As I'm away, with very limited web access, I don't want to downgrade the system.

I'm having the exact same issue. RC works fine when on the same network, but can't download anything other than those stupid 1k XML fragments when I'm accessing it from a WAN. Hugely frustrating - need access to files for work and can no longer get them downloaded. I'm on a NAS312 with 6.5.1 firmware. I've tried Chrome, FF, IE, Edge, Android etc. .. all of them are getting the same result.
Something is obviously majorly broken in this firmware. NETGEAR, please support your small business community here - investigate and fix ASAP.

Just downgrade the firmware to previous version... 6.5.0...will work
Seriously, this is a joke... I guess NETGEAR really don't care about our end user experience... That's a MAJOR defect of this upddate, I'm curious to know if this 6.5.1 works fine for somebody.... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEEDS 6.5.2 RIGHTT NOOWWW !
