RN204: degraded-updated-volumes lost-end of life

Here is what happened, what do I do:
- RN204 with 4x2TB reports degraded volume, oner drive missing
- What: there used to be four drives. Shut down NAS. Pulled Drives, cleaned enclosures, cleaned drive contacts with pink pearl, restarted.
- Everything seemed to come up ok. 4 drives, no degraded voilumes. a little shortr of free disk spave on raid 5 system
- updated firmware from 6.8 to 6.10
- when booted, admin page reports noi volume  WTF!!
- CHECK COMMUNITY seems like this can be fixed, but better
to let netgear support do it. great. ok. $$
- i start to contact support and I see PRODUCT END OF LIFE.
NOW WHAT DO i DO?? think i will retire ...

I am confused on the current status.  Are you seeing

  • a degraded volume
  • an inactive volume
  • or something else???

Re: RN204: degraded-updated-volumes lost-end of life

now:

-- boot readynas into 6.10.8
-- appears to come up ok but no syhares available within raidar or as a windows networ drive

-- contacted netgear who pointed me to readyvault support who pointed me back to another support team

-- hard to believe this incredible lack of support. i have 7 years of data at risk right now.

Please post a screen shot of the GUI Volumes page.  It may be more informative than RAIDar.
