Can not access my ReadyNAS Duo V2 suddenly
Hi, I know its a old device, but I just bought another device to transfer all the files I had on the old one.
Suddenly I can not access it anymore. I was copying files via SMB in windows folder by folder when it suddenly stopped to work.
I have tried to read around the forum but I don't know how to proceed.
I'm not sure, but I think it has a static IP-adress. 192.168.1.7 and no other device is in conflict with the IP-address, and this setup worked fine until a few hours ago. I have tried rebooting it and hard rebooting it but it just doesnt appear anywhere anymore.
Cant access the admin page, or via SMB. It shows up in the router and I have a IP-address, but doesnt answer to ping.
All lights are flashing as always, two drives and power. Using X-raid and x2 WD red HDD's. Not sure what do to here, I just want to access my files. Appriciate all the help - thanks.

Its visible in RAIDar and both drives seem to be fine, but I don't know how to access the files still.

What happens if you open CMD on a windows PC and enter
net use * /delete /y
net use z:\ \\192.168.1.7\C /user:admin NAS-ADMIN-PASSWORD
using the real NAS admin password of course. Be careful with the typing - the two different slash directions can trip you up.
If that fails, then also try entering
ping 192.168.1.7
and report back with all the status/errors you are seeing.

Re: Can not access my ReadyNAS Duo V2 suddenly
Seems like there was a issue with the network. Not sure how it happened because it was working earlier today.
Issue was the static IP-address. I manage to go to my parents place and access the NAS from their router and change static to DHCP. I also turned off all additional apps. Seems like I can access it now, but haven't tried to copy any data again.

Likely you can - let us know when you have a chance to try it.
You probably should reserve the IP address in their router (especially if you use port forwarding to access it).
