AC1200 Dual Band WIFI Router

I had to turn off my Netgear 94 because of electrical storm.  Trying to reset it.  One of the lights are red and the other 3 are green. What is wrong and do I have wifi?   What do I do to get the red light off? Thanks.

What "reset" are you trying?

Which light is red? Power? Internet? Something else?

Which router do you own AC1200 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

After you turned things back on, did you follow the right order?

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

  • Turn off and unplug modem.
  • Turn off router and computers.
  • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
  • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
  • Turn on computers and rest of network.

Visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.

If you follow to the support site @michaelkenward pointed out, you'll be able to find out what each led is and what they mean.

Details of which ones are lit up and specific help us to help you.

Storms are great at wrecking electronics.

If you're able to log into it, you might retry reloading the firmware on it in case the storm corrupted something in the firmware.
