Attempting network bridge from T-Mobile HotSpot to AC1200 Extender to N900 Router

I have a Franklin T10 mobile hotspot. It works great with one problem. It is restricted to 15 devices at most. With all the Wi-Fi bulbs and plugs I have I'm well over that.

I have been told that connecting a range extender as an access point and plugging a wireless router into the extender, that I can connect all of those devices to the wireless router and then the hotspot will register just one device.

So I connect the extender to my hotspot as an access point, and then use an ethernet cable from the extender to the wireless router. This is where my problem lies I cannot get the wireless router to recognize input from the extender.

The Netgear extender seems to be too old for me to use Nighthawk with, or even login using a browser, and the Netgear Genie app is too old for any of my devices.

I have a second range extender with no brand names were markings anywhere. The only clue I have is that it uses 192.168.188.1 for login page.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have been told what? That arrangement is likely to be a complete mess. You can't just keep piling bits on to a network and expect it to work,

For a start, two routers –  the mobile hotspot and the N900 Router – lands you in immediate difficulties.

Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.

This explains some of the other drawbacks.

This N900 Router could be anything, All it tells us is that it is an ancient device that has N900 wifi technology, which is a decade or so old.

Then there is the AC1200 extender. Again, that could be many things. AC1200 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the model number.

That's just a local IP address that could be on an anything.

Netgear devices have a model number printed on the label on them
