Multiple networks in my home

I have 2 isps in my home. Can I set up both networks in one WN2500RPv2 extender or do I need a second extender?

Re: Multiple networks in my home

A little more info is needed/wanted.

You say you have 2 isp's in your home?

Do you actually have 2 isp's coming in with 2 gateways?

If so, what isp are they and what modem/gateway/routers do you have?

And the Wn2500rpv2 can only connect to 1 router at a time.

Re: Multiple networks in my home

I have two networks.  One AT&T with a Pace gateway with only2.4 gHz wifi  and a dual band Cisco gateway for Xfinity (Comcast). AT&T is fairly reliable(?) but slow and Xfinity is quite fast but the connection drops out during peak usage times.

I also see from another answer that only one network at a time is supported...

Thanks,

Larry

Re: Multiple networks in my home

The xfinity should be a fairly solid connection even during peak times. They overprovision for this.

Maybe we can get your cable connection functioning better so you can rely on 1 setup and save some $.

What modem do you have?

What router do you connect to it?

Firmware on that router?

What speeds do you pay for?

What speeds do you actually get hardwired into the modem?

How big is your home? and stories?

What are the interior walls made of? (certain materials block wifi very well)

Live in a more congested area like apartment, condo, townhomes?

Something else to keep in mind is that 2.4ghz is much more sensitive to interference. During peak times, I'd have devices on 5ghz. When I used to live in an aparment, I made sure all my devices were on 5ghz because 2.4ghz has so much issues with congestions.

You can't join two internet services with bog standard consumer grade network devices. Different address on the WAN.
