NETGEAR AC1600 - R6260
I HAVE NETGEAR AC1600 - R6260 PURCHASED JULY 2019 AND HAS BEEN USED FOR 2 1/2 YEARS. IT IS LOSING CONNECTION TO MY HARD DRIVE ON MY DESKTOP BUT WORKS FINE ON MY LAPTOP AND MY CELL PHONE. WHAT COULD THE ISSUE BE? I AM USING USB ADAPTOR 600M WIRELESS. IF THEY GO BAD I DON'T KNOW.
- Thank you again. I have it fixed for sure changing the Wi-Fi Network name after the update on the router. It’s still working just fine.
You have a great evening!

Unless you are talking about using ReadySHARE to connect USB devices to your network, the router does not have a connection to your hard drive.

Perhaps you could describe what you actually see.
PS PLEASE DO NOT SHOUT. It is hard to read.

Thank you for responding. I had read somebody was told to use the adaptor I referenced but that would be for the wifi on my printer, keyboard and mouse.
With that being said I think I have figured it out. I had to update the Router to 2.4 and did not change the setting on my desktop to reflect the different link. Right now it is working just not sure it that is really the fix. I have updated my laptop I am on and is also working. It was still working on the prior connection. So confusing...
I was afraid I needed to update the network key as it didn't work on the one for 2.4 but it took my password. I wouldn't know how to update the network key anyway since I can't seem to find a manual for this Router online.
