Netgear JNR1010-100INS 4PT N150 Wireless Router

Dear Team

On my JNR1010v2, the WiFi disconnects when a new device is connected to the WiFi network. This has been happening since the beginning. This happens both with firmware versions V1.1.0.54 and V1.1.0.62.

Any advise on how to resolve this would be duly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Wow that is a low performing device. And it was released in 2012.

Its probably past time for an upgrade on that one.

But if not, how many devices do you have connecting to it?

      Dear plemans

I agree with you. This device has served me since Aug, 2016 and I too feel that it is time for an upgrade.

The device is used at home, and close to 10 devices connect to it on an average.

I would appreciate if you could recommend a suitable replacement. For the record, I have a fibre connection with a static IP.

      Thank you.

If you're on a fibre line, that router is very anemic and bottlenecking you. (unless you pay for really low services speeds).

How big is your home and what's it made of?

There's a ton of options and you can go through and sort/filter by what specs you'd like.

You can also check on amazon as I've been seeing a few "renewed" AX netgear routers on there lately if you're looking at going with an AX device.
