Re: Port Fowarding r6120

Online port checkers need something listening on the port to report it open. If you have no service listening on that port(s), they'll report it as closed or stealth

Re: Port Fowarding r6120

broadcast internet.

we always run into issues with broadcast internet. Not sure if its because they're operator side nat/routing or what.

Re: Port Fowarding r6120

I'm sure they did say that. What I'm saying is we see issues with things like this along using broadcast internet. Not sure if its because they use their own routing/nat/filtering or what. I haven't found a good answer for it yet.

Re: Port Fowarding r6120

I don't have an answer for you. Like I said, I've seen it numerous times with people who use broadcast internet and I haven't found a solution that worked well. I've seen some use the DMZ but thats really not a very secure way as it opens the device you put in the dmz to pretty much everyone.

Which ISP is at the other end of this box?

You could try a search here for it.

As @plemans says, "broadcast internet" isn't common. So there isn't much collective wisdom here on the subject.
