I plug in an external WD USB3 2T drive into the USB1 port of R4500 and it worked. Plug in the USB2 port and it does not work. Tried a 4T WD drive and neither port work - Why? The speed does not seemed to be USB1 as I see stream video from it with no problem. This is the best way to implement a cloud drive just wish to make it work on the USB2 port. Is there.a Netgear readyshare with USB3 support?

Welcome to the community, @frank1028
Did you get any USB light lit on USB port 2?
Do the 4TB HDD requires a software to be installed on the PC or does it have a password?
If it does, the Readyshare will not with such HDD's. For more information, see this link.
For the NETGEAR Readyshare, we have several routers that supports USB3.0 such as the R7000, R7500, R8000 and R8500.
Hope this answers your questions.
