R6300 firmware : unbrick
Hello
I'm using the router since 2012. Recently ; I attempted to upgdate the firmware and I think used incorrect firmware .
Since then the router stopped working. Only power light is ON. Not providing IP address. Soft and hard reset did not work. Tried all suggestions on google (including 30-30-30 reset). But all attempts failed. Looking suggestion about how to access the router via COM port/USB port and correct framwork can be installed. Did anybody attempt the mentioned by openrouter on r6300 (mine is not r6300v1 or r6300v2) . Any other suggestions ?
Regards
Andy

Re: R6300 firmware : unbrick
You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
