Serial
My Netgear Nighthawk modem is no longer supported. Two months ago my blink cameras were able to connect to it. We tried T-Mobile gateway for two months and switched back to the modem. The blink cameras no longer connect. I think the modem is dual band because the camera sync module worked before (they only operate on 2.4Ghz). No connection now.

Re: Serial
The CM series modem is just a modem only. You need a external wifi router connected to it to service your devices and such.
Contact the Mfr of these cameras as well for help and support information regarding there product.

Re: Serial
I have an Orbi87 router and the camera manufacturer said I should check on the modem since it worked once but not now. May have to get a new modem

Re: Serial
All other devices work find with the modem and router. Blink won't operate on 5ghz. But somehow they found a band to use on the modem before

Re: Serial
The CM doesn't have ANY router or WiFi.
They must have got them working on the Orbi system.
Try this: Turn OFF the RBS. Then the power output of the 5Ghz radio to 25% on the Orbi RBR router. Be sure that 20/40 MHz Coexistence enabled. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings. Then connect your mobile device at a distance from the RBR to ensure the mobile phone keeps connected to the 2.4Ghz radio. After you get the IoT device connected, re-configure the system back to where it was.

Re: Serial
I don't have a mesh system. Just the modem and the router

Re: Serial
It is indeed frustrating when tech support people jump to conclusions and do not ask sufficient questions to resolve problems. i.e. they heard:
- My router was connected to a cable modem and the Blink system worked.
- I swapped out the cable modem for a T-Mobile LTE connection and the Blink system continued to work.
- I went back to the cable modem, and the Blink system no longer works.
- I changed nothing in my router or in the Blink system. The only thing that changed was connecting back to the cable modem.
Sort of obvious, right? The cable modem has gone bad. Replace it. Problem solved. On to the next call.
But, are these assumptions correct?
- Did the Blink system work when using the T-Mobile network?
- Was nothing done to the Blink system to make it work on T-Mobile?
- Was nothing done to the router to make it work with T-Mobile?
Have you tried to reset the Blink sync module and set it up again?
