logon to wndr3400 router does not work.
guess the programmers are not sitting around. cannot logon to router. tried everything. no luck. why the change? wndr3400 is not in the list of supported routers for nighthawk. what else is new? What else does not work? BTW nothing recognizes the serial number of the router. get 'country not recognized'.

Which "programmers" do you expect to be sitting around?
There hasn't been a firmware update for that router since 2016:
WNDR3400 Firmware Version 1.0.0.52 - NETGEAR Support
cannot logon to router. tried everything. no luck. why the change?
Only you know what you mean by "everything" and what happened when you tried.
Try these and then tell us more.

What happened and where did it go wrong on your 14-year-old router?
wndr3400 is not in the list of supported routers for nighthawk. what else is new?
Probably 15 years' worth of newer devices.
Did you find this?

Where are you trying to enter the serial number and what gives you that message? If you are trying some of the newer tools for Netgear routers, your box may just be too old. It came out in an era before local networks operated at 1000 Mbps, you are stuck on 100 Mbps. You also miss out on some of the newer security options for networks. Maybe that gets in the way of whatever you are trying to connect with.
