A7000 Poor Performance on macOS
Hi, I just got my A7000 AC adapter because my old MacBook Pro comes with a 802.11n build-in connectivity (450Mbps). The main reason I brought this one is that it claims a 1300Mbps transfer rate.
However, the transfer speed only ~30MB/s when downloading files from my local file server. In comparsion, MacBook Pro native 802.11n achives ~40MB/s. Interestingly enough, when I use A7000 in windows (bootcamp) on the same machine, the speed goes to ~90MB/s, which is my desired performance.
I noticed that the Windows driver version updated to 1.0.0.15 recently, but Mac driver version remains 1.0.0.8 since mid 2017.
Is this a driver issue or am I missing something? Does Netgear has any plan on improving its performance on Mac?
Thanks.

Re: A7000 Poor Performance on macOS
OK, seems nobody replies this and my support case hasn't received any updates since 3 weeks ago.
I just noted that a message on 1.0.0.8 Mac software support page:
When A7000 start up to connect to 5G HT40 /80 mode (high rate mode), its wireless network connection will be disconnected, then reconnect wireless network for USB 3.0 mode switching, for best performance. Other rates will change USB host controller to USB 2.0 mode.
Mine seems working in USB2.0 mode and I probably need to figure out how to make my router runs on HT40 /80 mode, and, maybe my router doesn't support that at all
