Nighthawk® AXE3000 WiFi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter

I have a net gear nighthawk router and it's a model RAX45. With that said, can anyone tell me if I get the nighthawk aex3000 wifi 6e USB 3.0 adapter, will it make my current max of 100 megs a second wifi faster?

Re: Nighthawk® AXE3000 WiFi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter

The RAX45 is a dual band 2.4ghz/5ghz adapter. The new AXE3000 adapter is a triband that supports 2.4ghz/5ghz/6ghz.

The 6ghz on the AXE3000 won't do you any good with that router. A reasonable quality 2.4ghz/5ghz AX adapter should be fine to max out a 100mbps connection (if you're close enough and on 5ghz)

5ghz is the faster band that supports higher speeds. But its speeds drop of quickly with distance/obstructions.

So thats they key points is how close the computer is to the router.

(plus I'm not sure even the AXE3000 is shipping yet)
