This ProSAFE 16 port gigabit switch (GS116v2) is unmanaged, correct? Therefore it should not have a reset button on the outside, nor should the prosafe switch utility be able to “see” the switch on the network, right. Having ProSafe in the title confused me as my other switch (GS108T) is managed. Do managed switches always say managed on the box? The switch is working fine but I was trying to find the switch on the network with no luck. Read another post explaining that only managed switches can be accessed. Thank you!

The GS108T is a Smart Managed Pro switch - the GS116 isn't.
Simplified (leaving PoE and hardware versions/variants alone):
- FSnnn, GSnnn, XSnnn[M] are unmanaged.
- GSnnnE, XSnnnE[M] are Smart Managed Plus switches, with MAC; IP, et all.
- GSnnnT, XSnnnT are Smart Managed Pro switches, with MAC; IP, et all.
- Mnnnn are Manged Switch models, with one or muliplte MAC, IP, .... et all.
