Connecting to ReadyNas Ultra behind a router
Hi guys!
Shoot me down if necessary 😄
I have a customer I am trying to help...
The ReadyNas:
RNDU4000, RND-4A
I would like to setup her ReadyNas Ultra 4 at my office so that she can take it home an it will work with the following:
I can setup remote readynas accounts for each of her partners in her Company on the nas at my office...
The readynas will be behind one of the Company members' router. This means that all the other members will need access to the ReadyNas from outside one specific router.
My question is in two parts:
Can this be done as described with readynas remote?
Can I setup everything at my office before removal to location it will be used?

Re: Connecting to ReadyNas Ultra behind a router
ReadyNAS Remote is designed for user to accessing data from internet,so you can place your NAS anywhere, the only thing you need to do is adding all Remote member to the NAS and configure user ACL to each share.Remote client can access data via CIFS or FTP service.
to configure Remote service you can check the link as below.

Hi de niro 😉
Thanks for dropping by...
OK! How do I setup the ReadyNas? Do I set it to use DHCP?
Can they use WebDav for security?

I would set it to use DHCP, but use your router/server to assign a static I.P. to the Ultra.

Re: Connecting to ReadyNas Ultra behind a router
That's what I do. Then if I change routers/adjust the IP address range everything still works.
