Disc compatibility with second hand hand NAS box
Hi
Please can you advise,
I have a faulty Netgear Ready NAS duo 2150 with two good discs with lots of photos on.
I was thinking of buying a second hand replacement of the same nas box.
Will I be able to just load them into the replacment nas box and start a fresh????
Thanks
Model: RND2150v1|READYNAS DUO v1 (500GB: 1 X 500GB)|EOL

Re: Disc compatibility with second hand hand NAS box
What has led you to conclude that the old box is faulty?
A better option may be to get a new OS6 unit and follow this: ReadyNAS: Migrating disks from RAIDiator to OS 6

Re: Disc compatibility with second hand hand NAS box
Hello 61gazza,
Also, support team will not provide help in refurb/preowned units. Getting one of the OS6 units have a much better hope retrieving the data.
We strongly recommend to always have full back up of the data.
Regards,
