Duplicate IP addresses with FW 6.5 - DHCP issue?
Hi,
I have an issue with DHCP or Ethernet Port Aggregation LACP - IEEE 802.3ad, I don't know where come from the issue.
My ReadyNAS has duplicate IP addresses.
The normal situation is only one IP address, because I have enabled the LACP in mode layer 2 + 3.
I don't have any error message from DHCP.
How can I fix this issue? I have already restart my R8500, nothing has changed, the duplicated are still same, that's why I think the issue comes from the ReadyNAS

Re: Duplicate IP addresses with FW 6.5 - DHCP issue?
Perhaps the ReadyNAS didn't release the old IP addresses after the bond was formed?
If you can reach the NAS using the bond IP address, then it should be safe to reboot the router.

Re: Duplicate IP addresses with FW 6.5 - DHCP issue?
It's not a new bond, I use the LAPC config since 1 year with R8500.
All duplicate IP addresses are reachable, see my screencaptures, I can go on the admin with all IP addresses.

Yes, but the bond does need to be negotiated, and it is possible that the NAS briefly got addresses for each NIC when it rebooted (as part of the firmware update).

That is not surprising, since the router clearly has associated all three addresses with the NAS NICs.
The R8500 router leases dhcp addresses for 24 hours. If your NAS has had the bond running longer than that, the addresses should have been reclaimed by the router.
Things you could try include
-wait until you are sure the lease period has expired
-remove both NAS ethernet cables and then reconnect them
-reboot the NAS
-reboot the router.

Ok, I will try your release/reboot process tomorrow evening to be sure.
I send you a reply when it's done.
Thanks

Thanks for the logs and pictures.
We've already done some troubleshooting for another customer.
There will be a fix for the NAS side in the next firmware release.

Hi @StephenB, @mdgm-ntgr
I have done the @StephenB's suggestion, after the reboot and the disconnecting, I have now only one IP address for my ReadyNAS.
I keep an eye if this issue comes back or not

Here my Eset Antivirus finds also two IP addresses for my ReadyNAS:
