Modify rsync options
I know it's been asked before. In my ReadyNAS NV+ I did this by modifying /frontview/bin/backup to add "--copy-links" to the $rsync_option. Now I have migrated to ReadyNAS NV+ v2 (and loving the speed improvement, new interface and WOL support) and found that
/frontview/bin/backup is now encrypted. Is there any other way to add options passed to rsync? I don't want to have to create multiple jobs for multiple mount points and multiple boxes and I most certainly don't want to have to search memory dumps

Re: Modify rsync options
I believe that was in place by engineering so that customers wouldnt modify those options, the nas has been tested with lots of environments and if something like that has been implemented its probably for the customer safety - probably for the safety of none linux experts. However I see your apt with linux, I wish I had the answer ill check with engineering for a solution.
