Moving data between shares: File space taken up
I am moving a few TBs of data between two shares on my 316. I noticed that before the move I had about 800GB free, now it's down to 15GB. Wondering if there's a reason why this would be, some temp data, or if there's a way to fix this... It's just, weird.

Re: Moving data between shares: File space taken up
Do you have snapshots enabled? If so, try manually deleting them on the two shares you moving around.

Re: Moving data between shares: File space taken up
Thanks...
Seems that linux mv command does a copy then a delete at the end... so now I am just looping through each folder and doing it one at a time... Works, with really no drawbacks.
