NV+ hard drive tray screws replacement
I've just bought an extra HDD to add to my NV+ thats been working fine for a couple of years now. However I can't find the original pack of remaining screws that came with it for fixing the drive to the tray. The new drive is for tray 4 (right end).
Does anyone know the precise spec of screws I need? Looking at the tray they appear to be special recessed heads to sit flush with the metal tray, whereas so far I have only seen generic 3.5" mounting screws without a recessed head (e.g. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=A14BJ). I'm not sure these will fit past the other trays / side of bay, as it is quite tight for space in there.
Any advice, specs of screw so I can get locally (UK) appreciated.

- chirpaLuminaryI'll check with the UK office if they can source something.
- wardieAspirantThanks. I just tried with some normal 3.5" drive screws and the back pair (near SATA connector) slide past the metal case edge at the front OK as there is a bit of give at first, but the second pair in the middle don't as tray is running parallel by then. I'd rather not bend the case. I can PM you my address if you have some in the your UK office to stick in the post.
- chirpaLuminaryI won't have a reply from them for awhile still since it is currently the middle of the night in the UK.
- wardieAspirantI think the screws are 6-32 thread 4mm long countersunk head. Can't seem to find an web shop here with them...
Indeed I am aware of the time here (London) - thanks for the reminder to go to bed! - chirpaLuminaryAs a temporary fix to get your disks installed, try stealing (1) screw from the other 3 trays to use on the 4th tray. So each tray will be short one screw, but would still be enough to keep them secure.
- wardieAspirantGood idea - I will do thanks. I take it I can pull the 3 full trays out & back in whilst the machine is off to get the screws without causing any resync issues (other than for the new disk of course)?
- chirpaLuminaryYes, do it while the machine is off, and make sure to label the order of the disks.

same problem here (The Netherlands), I already took all screws from the housing .... Info were to order those would be very welcome .... - wardieAspirantDone. Disk 4 now initializing. Thanks. I would appreciate those extra screws still though to bring each drive back to a full compliment so I can be totally screwed  .
Derivative question - I currently have nightly frontview backups set up off a snapshot. The initialization & volume expansion will likely run into the time window for these tonight. Do I need to disable snapshot & backups or will it work just fine off the 3 disks or ignore those actions until the 4th is online? I think I saw a post saying you didn't have to but I'm not sure and would rather know from the Force...
[edit: expansion finished prior to my nightly backups. Result! ] - wardieAspirantWell, I just purchased a ReadyNAS Duo as a backup solution (1x500Gb model) and guess what? It came with 8 spare screws giving me four for the spare drive bay in that machine, and four extra ones I can use on the NV+.
I'm assuming the drive trays (at least the screws) are the same - you can confirm? If so I will re-use them and don't need any from your UK people chirpa.
p.s. I would not recommend buying a Duo just to get four screws as it's substantially more than $5.99
